Season of Giving 2014

Heiferinternational1.jpg

This holiday season PDA’s donation to Heifer International will result in the purchase of Irrigation Pumps. Access to safe water is a necessity we often take for granted, but poor families around the world struggle to obtain this vital resource. Heifer’s solution is to help rural families install treadle pumps that maximize the number of growing seasons and allow them to expand the types of crops on their land. This cost-effective process is much cheaper than using motorized pumps, and more efficient than using buckets to fetch water.

This is made possible through the continued support of our clients, colleagues, friends and family. Thank you and Happy Holidays!

Heifer International’s mission is to work with communities to end world hunger and poverty and to care for the Earth.Dan West was a farmer from the American Midwest and member of the Church of the Brethren who went to the front lines of the Spanish Civil War as an aid worker. His mission was to provide relief, but he soon discovered the meager single cup of milk rationed to the weary refugees once a day was not enough. And then he had a thought: What if they had not a cup, but a cow? That “teach a man to fish” philosophy is what drove West to found Heifer International. And now, nearly 70 years later, that philosophy still inspires our work to end world hunger and poverty throughout the world once and for all.

Advance Team Planning

Pickett Design Associates utilizes Architectural Resource Consultants’ (ARC) services to create as-built drawings on projects where existing drawings need verification or where plans are not available. Located in Irvine, California, and founded by John Russo, AIA in 1997, ARC has been successfully serving the design and architecture community in Los Angeles and around the country for the past seventeen years. Scanning above the ceiling will help the team design for new fixture locations, eliminating concern for future “clashes” on the day of installation. This is advance team planning! The return on investment is measured in the delivery of a seamless project.
