At Pickett Design Associates, we are aware of the potential negative impact constructed buildings can have on the health of our environment and on the well-being of building users. All intermediate and senior staff at Pickett Design Associates have achieved their LEED AP credential. And, with or without an official project-specific mandate to achieve a LEED rating, we routinely select low-impact materials such as rubber flooring, linoleum, zero VOC paints, reclaimed wood products, FSC-certified wood, recycled and recyclable upholstery materials and Cradle to Cradle contract furniture. With every design presentation we take the opportunity to further educate our clients as to the overarching advantages of green materials, including the improved health and well-being of building occupants and the benefits to the bottom line. The resulting interiors have the highest sensitivity to the human experience and the lowest possible use of virgin resources while maintaining the utmost regard for a project budget.
