Little-Known Stories: Map Showcases More Than 50 Landmarks by African-American Architects

Map produced by the Los Angeles chapter of the AIA, released in October, highlights over 50 projects in Los Angeles with significant contributions by African-American architects, designers, and engineers — from subway stations to libraries, hospitals, college campuses, places of worship, civic centers, housing, a police station, and a museum.

Season of Giving 2016

To express our gratitude for your support, Pickett Design Associates has made a contribution to Heifer Project International. 

For the past 72 years, Heifer Project International has provided gifts of livestock and training to impoverished communities around the world and they continue to help families improve their nutrition and generate income in sustainable ways. The organization’s mission is to work with these communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth.

PDA’s donation this season helps make it possible for families in India to send their daughters to school. Families will be gifted with livestock and the training to care for it. The extra income the animals provide helps pay for school fees and supplies.
