The new Kaiser Permanente Playa Vista Medical Offices opened to the public in June! PDA was interior designer on the Silicon Beach project, working closely with lead architect The S/L/A/M Collaborative and general contractor Swinerton Builders. The state-of-the-art 35,000-square-foot MOB features sustainable designs, express check-in kiosks, and approximately 40 exam rooms with new technologies such as a “smart chair” that measures a patient’s weight and can fully recline into an exam table. Kaiser offers five new specialty care departments in the new facility, including behavioral health, occupational medicine, pediatrics, a center for healthy living, and a complete care nurse clinic.
